The People Behind RSG
Maria "Mia" Patch
Broker / Owner — AHWD, BPOR, CRS, SFR
By the age of 20, Mia had lived in 20 different homes, including stretches in Africa and Asia, where she developed a lifelong love of reading, history, and storytelling. At 18, her mother insisted she get her real estate license to work in the family brokerage during holidays and summers home from Stetson University — and the license never lapsed. In between, Mia spent 23 years as a marketing and sales executive with Scholastic (the publisher behind Harry Potter and Clifford the Big Red Dog), traveling the world. She brings that same sales and storytelling instinct to every listing and every negotiation.
Mia has held a Community Association Manager (CAM) license since 2014 and has served as her Condo Association Board Treasurer and President for over a decade through a 40-year re-certification and almost $20M in special assessments. She brings that hands-on board experience to her work advising buyers and sellers on condo risk.
Teaching turned into a genuine second calling for Mia — one that started with an unexpected talent test in 2016 and grew into a Florida Realtors Faculty membership by 2025. Read the full story on the Teaching & CE page →
